Virtual reality developer Hologate has posted a substantial update on it's Ghostbusters VR Academy project, which was unveiled during Ghostbusters Day 2022. Ghostbusters VR Academy will see participants bust ghosts and take the wheel of the title's futuristic flying Ecto-VR, combining familiar technological and gameplay elements of racing games like Forza and The Void's 2016 Ghostbusters experience at Madame Tussaud's.
Ghostbusters VR Academy is now available at over 450 Hologate locations in 42 countries around the world, and is split across two of Hologate's games, a proton-blasting experience in Hologate Arena, and an in-air race via Hologate Blitz.
Hologate CEO and founder Leif Petersen had this to say on the project:
We are delighted to have collaborated with Sony Pictures VR on this experience... Set in one of the world’s most beloved franchises, Ghostbusters VR Academy offers players an amazing shared social experience that family and friends can enjoy. Our company-wide mission is to create a social play setting, an escape from reality that creates powerful, long-lasting memories of good times. Ghostbusters VR Academy is the perfect fit for our Arena and Blitz platforms, and we can’t wait for our recruits to start their training!

There've been clear signs in the past few weeks that filming on the next installment in the Ghostbusters franchise would be starting soon, ranging from one of the Ecto-1 props being spotted arriving at Glasgow Prestwick Airport, to Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan teasing the construction of a interior set for the Firehouse, to Celeste O'Connor recently posting about her arrival in the United Kingdom.
Now, Jason and Gil's newest teaser is from the set of "Ghostbusters 4"/"Ghostbusters: Firehouse", commemorating the first day of filming.
There's still a long road ahead before the film will be released, assuming it sticks to it's release date of December 20, 2023. However today's reveal is still an exciting development.

Late last month Ghostbusters: Afterlife scribes Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan gave us a preview of what to expect with the next installment in the Ghostbusters cinematic franchise; a teasing glance at the set being built to replicate the interior of the Ghostbusters' Firehouse.
Originally filmed in decommissioned Fire Station №23 in Los Angeles, the production has moved to a set build as the original filming location is now being refurbished to become a youth arts center (and potentially to also be take advantage of similar tax breaks that resulted in much of Ghostbusters: Afterlife being filmed in Canada).
Along with one of the "Wrecto-1" filming props being spotted at Glasgow's Prestwick airport, it appears that a sizeable portion of the interior scenes for "Ghostbusters 4" are going to filmed in the U.K.
